The company's details

Settings › "Basic details" holds the company name, the CIF, the type of company, the currency and the registered office, as well as settings that decide how Sttok works for that company: whether shareholders are notified, whether they can see the full shareholder base, whether it is a holding or test company and which language the emails are sent in. You edit them by clicking any row.

Where they are#

In the side menu, open Settings and go to "Basic details". The settings screen, whose title includes the type of company (for example "Settings of the Sociedad Anónima"), has tabs for the other settings: "Details", "Company Value", "Share Value", "Users", "Integrations", "Customization", "Notifications" and "Features".

In "Details", the first block, "Information of the…" followed by the type of company, shows each detail on its own row, and below it, in "Additional information", the logo and a short description.

Change a detail#

  1. Click the row of the detail. Any row opens the same form, "Update Company", with two tabs: "Company" and "Address".
  2. Change what you need. You can change several details at once.
  3. Click "Update Information". If you don't want to save, click "Close".

What each field is for#

FieldWhat it is for
"Company Name", "CIF"The company's name and tax ID, as recorded at the Commercial Registry.
"Type of company"Sociedad anónima or sociedad limitada. It decides whether Sttok talks about shares (acciones) or participations (participaciones).
"Currency"The currency in which all the company's amounts are shown.
"Website", "Phone"The company's contact details.
"Notify shareholders"Whether Sttok emails shareholders about what affects them.
"Enable shareholder access to the Cap Table"Whether shareholders, in addition to their profile, can see the full shareholder base.
"Is it a Holding company?"If the company is part of a group, this makes it appear in the Portfolio section: in the group diagram and in the cards. If it is not ticked, the company doesn't appear in that section.
"Is it a Demo company?"Marks the company as a test company. This closes shareholders' access: it is what you have to do if you don't want them to get in.
"Language of communications"The language the company's emails are sent in.
"Selected administrator"The administrator shown by default on what the company issues.
"Registered Office"Changed in the "Address" tab of the form.
"Logo", "Short description"The image and text the company presents itself with.

These settings affect everyone. Changing shareholders' access or the currency changes what all the company's users see from that moment on.

Properties#

If the company owns real estate, it is recorded in Settings › "Properties", with "Add property". The form collects the building (name, floor areas, use, plots, encumbrances), the location, the titles (owner, tenant, sale price), the licenses (cadastral value, amount, year) and the cadastral and land registry references. It is saved with "Save property".

Frequently asked questions#

How do I stop shareholders from getting in?

Click any detail, and in "Update Company" set "Is it a Demo company?" to "Yes". To open the full shareholder base to them, it is the opposite setting: "Enable shareholder access to the Cap Table" set to "Yes".

A group company doesn't appear in Portfolio. Why?

Check that "Is it a Holding company?" is set to "Yes". Only companies marked this way are included in the group's diagram and cards.

Where do I change the header colors and logo?

In the "Customization" tab. This is explained in The company's colors and logo.
